Just a few decades ago, very few people knew about probiotics.
Today, we live in a much polluted environment which is affected by accidents such as Chernobyl (which not only touched the ecology of Ukraine but the rest of Europe); also, businesses that save at wastewater treatment plants, and even ordinary tap water chlorination. However, industrial pollution is not the problem. In addition to all kinds of stress, incorrect diet and many unhealthy habits have a massive affect on our health.
The most serious blow comes if we have to start a course of antibiotics. On the one hand, antibiotics are doing a good job – they provide a cure of serious diseases.
But by killing the bacteria, they do not stop just at the pathogen but also they destroy micro flora of man. That”s where the need is in the use of best probiotic foods.
Probiotics – live microorganisms that: lactic acid bacteria, usually Lactobacillus bifida or sometimes yeast, which relate to the normal “inhabitants” of the intestinal tract of healthy humans.
According to evaluation of probiotics in food, these organisms improve digestion and overall health of the gastrointestinal tract, and that”s not all. They strengthen the immune defenses and produce a lot of nutrients within the body, including folic acid, biotin and vitamin K.
Normal micro flora of man plays an important role in protecting the body against pathogenic microbes from the action of toxic substances. Violation of a quantitative or qualitative composition of the intestinal micro-biocenosis often causes serious diseases in humans of different ages. In recent decades, humanity is faced with more and more diseases such as dysbiosis.
Dysbacterioses lead to a weakening of the protective functions of the body to increase the threat of infectious complications. Modern medical practice makes it possible to deal with it, using the registered biologic drugs that are based on attenuated strains of the normal intestinal micro flora. Intestinal bacteria overgrowth should be considered as a secondary syndrome, but not as a disease. During delivery of the bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract through the mouth of a baby, it goes through maternity paths of mother. Some bacteria and streptococci can be found in the gastrointestinal tract after a few hours after birth.
Different samples of bifid bacteria and bacteroides in probiotics appear in the gastrointestinal tract 10 days after birth. Babies born by Caesarean section have significantly lower content of lactic acid bacteria than babies which were born naturally. Only children who are fed naturally with breast milk, the intestinal micro flora dominated by bifid bacteria, are associated and tend to have a lower risk of stomach infections. While bottle-fed, baby is not formed by the predominance of a particular group of microorganisms. The diet of a child older than one year, adolescents, adults do not have as much meaning as in the neonatal period and first year of life.
